Scruteneering Peking J-1

Yesterday we picked up the Karmann Ghia in a warehouse outside Beijing. There is a sense of excitement and a little tension as all of us put a lot of effort in preparing our cars and planning for this rally.
After receiving our Chinese drivers licence, finding a place selling oil for a classic car and explaining what we need in Mandarin was our afternoon adventure.
Today all cars were checked for compliance with regulations (scruteneering).
Tomorrow the rally starts and in two days we will be in Mongolia.
