Today wonderful drive from East to West of the Malaysian peninsular. Test section up hill on tarmac was ok, still without the fourth gear. Xavier arrived tonight with the new gearbox. By midnight he had dismounted the engine. Tomorrow we will swap the gearboxes. Fortunately our air cooled specialist Pat had a gearbox in stock. Lucky us !
Many of you have followed us on the 2015 "Road to Mandalay" and on the 2012 “London to Cape Town” rallies. On June 12 we will start to drive 14 000 km on the "Peking to Paris" rally. The race will take us through Mongolia & Siberia driving through 11 countries until we reach Place Vendôme in Paris on July 17. We will try to post a short comment on our blog on most days with the exception of Mongolia where we will have no internet access.
