Day 17 Tyumen to Yekaterinburg

The day started with a test section on a rally cross course just outside Tyumen. Below you can see the Karmann Ghia on the course this morning.
We then drove towards Yekaterinburg through a more hilly countryside with mauve flowerbeds.
Yekaterinburg named after the wife of Peter the Great who later became empress regnant Catherine I. The city was one of Russia's first industrial cities and a frontier between Europe and Asia.
