This morning we drove south along the Thai Burmese border. The only test of the day was a bumpy fast speed test. Some competitors came off the track; we could just about keep the Karmann in line. Our time was ok and we kept our place in the ranking. After the test we continued to drive along the botder lined with UNHCR refugee camps. Tomorrow we have a day off as the rally is getting organised to cross the Thai/Burmese border the day after tomorrow Feb 20th.
Many of you have followed us on the 2015 "Road to Mandalay" and on the 2012 “London to Cape Town” rallies. On June 12 we will start to drive 14 000 km on the "Peking to Paris" rally. The race will take us through Mongolia & Siberia driving through 11 countries until we reach Place Vendôme in Paris on July 17. We will try to post a short comment on our blog on most days with the exception of Mongolia where we will have no internet access.
