Peking to Paris 2016 in a 1966 VW Karmann Ghia Patrick & Christine Sommer Car 65

Many of you have followed us on the 2015 "Road to Mandalay" and on the 2012 “London to Cape Town” rallies. On June 12 we will start to drive 14 000 km on the "Peking to Paris" rally. The race will take us through Mongolia & Siberia driving through 11 countries until we reach Place Vendôme in Paris on July 17. We will try to post a short comment on our blog on most days with the exception of Mongolia where we will have no internet access.

Day 24 Mandalay to Bagan FINISH

We arrived in Bagan last night and finished the rally 3rd in class (pre 1970 classic cars), and 8th averall.

The last 24 days have been an amazing adventure which we loved to share with you.

All of this would not have been possible without the help of all of those who prepared the car.

We have to run as we have to drive 600kms to Yangon.
